About Brittany
Brittany grew up in the East Cobb suburb of Atlanta, GA, where she was a competitive gymnast for eight years and a competitive cheerleader for five years. She attended Walton High School and then matriculated at the University of Georgia on the Hope Scholarship. After college graduation, Brittany simultaneously began her graduate studies and college teaching career at the University of South Carolina. While pursuing her Master’s degree in British Literature and her PhD in Contemporary American Literature, Brittany taught for eight years at four different institutions of higher learning throughout North and South Carolina. Brittany has been married to her husband, Lance, for almost 20 years; they have two children—a 15 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. Brittany resides in Suwanee, GA. In her free time, she is an avid reader, long-time Mah Jongg player, Disney fanatic, and baseball enthusiast; she also recently launched her Instagram endeavor called Stanzas & Style, which is a hybrid of her love for words and six years of experience working in the style business.
